Healing through hands

Therapeutic massage is a clinical procedure in which systematic manual pressure on different parts of the body improves blood circulation, normalizes muscle tone, and reduces pain.

At LOQOS we apply Bobath, Vojta, classical paediatric massage, reflex massage, and other methods. For each child, the optimal treatment program is selected based on the specific diagnosis.

Paediatric therapeutic massage

Specific paediatric massage for hypertonia, hypotonia, CP, and developmental delays.

Therapeutic exercise

Muscle strengthening and motor development through targeted exercises.

Bobath method

An international method for correcting cerebral palsy and postural motor issues.

Gait correction

Treatment of gait problems such as toe-walking or uneven walking.

Therapeutic massage process

1

Consultation

Medical records, initial examination, pediatrician referral.

2

Massage plan

Based on the diagnosis, the type of treatment, number of sessions, and methodology are determined.

3

Treatment courses

Usually a course of 10–15 sessions. Each session is 30–40 minutes.

4

Outcome evaluation

After the course, dynamics are evaluated and the next course is planned.

Signs a child needs therapeutic massage

If these conditions are present, therapeutic massage is recommended:

Tilted neck after birth β€” torticollis

Walking on toes

Hands constantly clenched in fists

Knees point inward

Whole body tenses during crying

Delay in standing up independently

Falling during walking, balance problems

Scoliosis or kyphosis diagnosis

Therapeutic massage should only be performed by a certified specialist. Without correct technique it can cause harm instead of benefit.
